My Imaginary Closet

I haven't done an imaginary closet post in ages...well here we go! My mom just bought me a pair of silk shorts from Zara, similar to these ones from Forever21 but in a lighter shade of grey. This style of shorts are the most flattering for my legs because mine are pretty short and the high waist and turned-up hem make them look longer! Yay! :)

I went with a metallic theme and paired the shorts with a slouchy Vanessa Bruno top, some killer Givenchy sandals, a Fendi cuff and a glass bead necklace by Yves Saint Laurent. I finished the look off with a lamè bag by Lanvin...gorgeous!

So what do you think of this look? I wish I could afford it :)

A Quick Update

Hey everyone! This is just a quick update on what's been going on with me these past few days. First off, most of you already know that I moved apartment last week. This is a pic of Jonathan and me driving to London on Wednesday with the car chock-full of stuff! We do not have internet access in our new apartment yet, so I couldn't check email or blog/tweet while I was there. I did however record a video while in the car on the way to London so I will be putting that up on YouTube very soon!

Unfortunately, we only got to spend one full day (Friday) in our new home as we flew out to Ireland today! We hadn't even unpacked! But I am still SO happy to be here and I really wanted to see my mom and sisters :) We are house-sitting for my mom these next two weeks as she and my sisters are going to Sweden. We will also be looking after four cats, so expect lots of funny videos featuring them all :) The picture above was taken on the plane to Ireland, that explains why the lighting is so weird!

Thank you so much for all of your kind messages and comments wishing me luck with the move...I really appreciate it! You guys are the best! :)

Wanted: Apricot Toy Poodle Puppy

Can you help?

I am looking for a little baby :) If you breed toy poodles or if you know of anyone who does please let me know! I am specifically looking for a FEMALE apricot toy poodle puppy that is available around the end of July. I know that there are several shades/versions of apricot...the one I am looking for is the one in the pictures above...kind of cream coloured with darker shade ears! And of course I am looking for a puppy who is in the UK :)

If you have any info on a puppy that fits this description, please please please shoot me an email at mail@thestylediet.com. I will love you forever!

I was kindly nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award by Natalia from Fashion Titbits! Yay! This was a lovely surprise...thank you Natalia! As part of this award, I have to pick 6 things that made me happy today.

1. I am moving very soon...that means a fresh start and a beautiful apartment. Yes!

2. My mom offered Jonathan and me a very generous gift this morning...I will not reveal what it is yet as I don't know yet whether we will take it but it was extremely kind of her and made me very happy!

3. I spoke to my uncle on the phone this afternoon...this made me happy as I don't get to speak with him that often!

4. I had a lovely dream about somebody special last night. :)

5. We are having a heat wave! It's 32 degrees Celsius outside right now and I am loving it!

6. I have been using the St. Tropez mousse for the last week or so and now that I have a tan I am wearing a LOT less makeup! Woo hoo!

Jonathan's Graduation

Yesterday was my boyfriend's graduation. I am so proud of him! He looked so cute in his hat and gown and I almost started crying when they called out his name! I am such a baby, I cry any chance I get! It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony, held in an amazing old cathedral and we were lucky to get a sunny day so my sandals didn't get ruined, LOL!

I love getting all dressed up for special occasions! Styling the outfit before a big day is probably my favourite thing to do, whether for me or for another girl. I think that's why I want to get into personal styling so much! Here are some photos of me with Jonathan and also one with his mom.

Here is what I wore on the day in terms of makeup, hair and nails...

Face:
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Benefit Boi-ing Concealer, Barry M Dazzle Compact Bronzer and Mineralissima Flirt Blusher, Bonnebell Blend 'n' Glow Highlight.

Lips: Dior Addict Lipstick in #369

Eyes: I used a No.7 Stay Perfect eyeshadow trio called Radiant Bronze which consists of a pale peach colour, a peachy pink and a shimmery burn orange. I also used MAC eyeshadow in Knight Divine in the crease. I lined my eyes with Benefit Bad Gal eyeliner and Bad Gal Lash mascara.

Hair: I wore it in an up-do thanks to a lot of people on Twitter/Facebook, who recommended it! I wore a low bun with the front twisted on both sides and pinned at the back.

Nails:
China Glaze nail polish in 001 Wild Mink, a beautiful shade of pink, given to me by Nadia :)

Now onto my dress/accessories...

This was the best picture I could find that shows off the dress...I showed it to you in my TK Maxx Haul video. It's basically a sleeveless prom dress with a fitted waist and a high neck. It's backless and ties in a a bow at the back, it has an A-line skirt with tulle underneath for added volume. It is grey with splashes of cream, yellow, orange, pink and black in it. I love it! In one of the other photos above, you can see the handbag I paired it with. It's an oversized grey patent handbag also from TK Maxx.

I accessorised with cream disc earrings from a costume jewelry store. The have a very pretty gold peacock design on them. I also wore cream patent gladiator sandals from New Look and an orange shell bracelet from a local boutique.

On a side-note, I know that in my videos I often talk about looking stylish on a budget, and how you can look good no matter how much or how little money you have! To prove my point, I would just like to let you know that this entire graduation look was for under £60! Here's how:

Dress - TK Maxx - £20
Shoes - New Look - £15
Handbag - TK Maxx - £12
Earrings - Diamonds & Pearls - £2
Bracelet - Boutique - £10

See? Super cheap and super stylish all at the same time :) My dad would have been proud! LOL! Let me know what you think...do you like what I wore? Can money buy you style? Leave your opinions in the comments section!
